Enterpreneurship contest PROFAS for Lithuanian colleges

Enterpreneurship contest aims to encourage young speacialists to generate business ideas and provides them with a possibilty to evaluate the ideas together with professionals.

Contest is organised fourth year and has its mission to foster young people entrepreneurship. It fulfills this objective by organising two phases Contest that is composed of two parts: special business simulation and business idea competition.

Simulation will help to develop managerial skills. Business idea competition will require careful planning, good writing and presentation skills. The Competition will help students develop an ability to think in a creative way, and help to develop the skills needed to identify and successfully develop new business ideas throughout their careers.

To enter the competition, applicants must fill online application form and submit it till 5th of October, 2008. Please stay within word limits for each section. The final deadline for submitting business idea - 12th of October, 2008. For submitting idea you should fill online form in internet site www.profas.org.

Semi-finalist will receive an e-mail notification and will be provided with possibility to present their ideas to respectable companies' executives and professional economists. During presentation, the jury will make their assessment based on the economic rationale and team presentation skills. Each team will have 7 minutes to present their business ideas. After every session, the jury will have a right to question the teams for 10 minutes.

The overall results (business simulation & business idea competition) will be announced in 1th of December.

The aim of final event is to present the best business ideas of Lithuanian and foreign students to Lithuanian enterprises. Participants will be evaluated and the best team rewarded by special prize – visit to European Parlament.

Contest is held in national level. Rules for participants is provided in Lithuanian and in English.
